Originally from Saugatuck, Michigan, David graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Composition in 1979 from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, then spent ten years in New York City as a free-lance musician. Since coming to Johnson City in 1989, he has worked variously as collaborative pianist, music director, arranger, church organist, and electric keyboardist. He aspires to be E. Power Biggs, André Previn, and Frank Zappa all rolled into one. He wrote the background music for the "Don't Touch That Dial!" Radio Theater presentations on WETS-FM Public Radio from 1993-96, and appeared on their Studio One program in 1996.His Piano Concerto in D was premiered by the Symphony of the Mountains (formerly Kingsport Symphony Orchestra) in 2001. Mr. See teaches piano at Suzuki Talent Education of Appalachia in Kingsport and is principal keyboardist with the Symphony of the Mountains. |
