John spent six great years in the music business in the 60's working the convention circuit in the Carolinas prior to taking a "day-job" with a large chemical company after graduating from N.C. State. In 1997, the desire to play again overcame reason and he bought a used Fender P-Bass to see if it was still fun. IT WAS! After retuning his skills and driving his wife and daughters crazy with the large quantities of noise coming from the basement, the old man in Bag a'Cats now holds down the bottom-end of the group's sound. He says, "We try to do those great hits from the 60's to the present to which almost any audience can relate."
